The short version: PatrolOne does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. All scanning and analysis happens on your device. Your privacy is the product, not your data.
1. Who We Are
2805869 ALBERTA LTD. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an Alberta corporation incorporated on April 7, 2026. We develop software and mobile applications. PatrolOne is a registered trade name of 2805869 ALBERTA LTD. Our products include the PatrolOne iOS and Android apps and the PatrolOne Enterprise Dashboard.

2. What Data We Collect
2.1 On Your Device (App)
PatrolOne performs all scanning, analysis, and DNS filtering directly on your device. This includes:
- App permission scanning and privacy risk scoring
- DNS query filtering via the Shield tunnel
- Link safety verification
- Overnight activity monitoring
None of this data is transmitted to our servers. It stays on your device and is only accessible to you.
2.2 Account Information
If you create an account (optional for individual use, required for Enterprise), we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (if provided)
- Authentication tokens (stored securely, never in plain text)
2.3 Enterprise Dashboard
For organizations using the Enterprise plan, the dashboard receives:
- Device compliance scores (aggregate, not browsing data)
- Shield activation status
- Device identifiers for fleet management
- Policy compliance reports
Enterprise admins cannot see individual browsing history, app usage details, or personal content on enrolled devices.
2.4 Website
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party advertising pixels. We use minimal localStorage to remember your consent banner preference.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Account management: To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
- Enterprise compliance: To provide aggregate compliance data to your organization's IT administrator
- Product improvement: We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports (never containing personal data) to improve app stability
- Communication: To send you account-related emails (password resets, subscription updates), never marketing unless you opt in
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- We do not track your browsing history
- We do not read your messages or emails
- We do not access your camera, microphone, or photos
- We do not build advertising profiles
5. Data Storage and Security
Account data is stored on secure servers with safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:
- TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit
- TLS certificate pinning in our mobile apps
- Bcrypt password hashing (never stored in plain text)
- JWT token authentication with expiration
- Ongoing review of our security practices as our services evolve
No security measures are perfect; you are responsible for protecting your credentials and devices.
6. Data Retention
On-device scan data is stored only on your device. If you uninstall PatrolOne, all local data is automatically deleted.
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
PatrolOne's Family plan includes child accounts managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Child accounts are created and controlled entirely by the parent.
8. Your Rights and Applicable Canadian Privacy Law
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law. Depending on the nature of our activities and the circumstances (including where our customers and users are located), Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and/or the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may apply. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under those or other applicable statutes.
Subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format where reasonable
- Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to contractual or legal restrictions
- Challenge compliance: Ask questions about how we handle your information and, where applicable, lodge a concern with a privacy commissioner

9. Third-Party Services
Our apps use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play: For app distribution and in-app purchases (governed by their respective privacy policies)
- Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method (we receive only your email and display name)
We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in our apps.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification.
