Terms of Service
Plain language summary: Use PatrolOne responsibly. We provide security tools. You keep your account secure. We can update these terms, and we'll tell you when we do.
Operator. The Service is operated by 2805869 ALBERTA LTD., an Alberta corporation incorporated on April 7, 2026. PatrolOne is a registered trade name of 2805869 ALBERTA LTD. In these Terms, “PatrolOne,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to 2805869 ALBERTA LTD.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PatrolOne ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of PatrolOne, including individual users, family plan members, and enterprise organization members.
2. Description of Service
PatrolOne provides mobile privacy and security services, including:
- On-device app permission scanning and privacy risk scoring
- DNS-level ad, tracker, and malware blocking (Shield)
- URL safety verification
- Overnight activity reports
- Enterprise device compliance management
- Family protection features with child accounts
All scanning and analysis features operate on your device. PatrolOne is not a VPN service. Shield filters DNS queries locally and does not route your internet traffic through external servers.
3. Account Registration
Some features require an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and authentication credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Plans
PatrolOne offers Individual, Family, and Enterprise plans. Pricing is displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and is subject to change with 30 days' notice.
4.2 Free tier and subscriptions (Individual and Family)
The PatrolOne mobile apps for Individual and Family plans include a free tier with limited functionality. You may use the app within those limits without a paid subscription. PatrolOne does not offer a separate time-limited free trial of paid Individual or Family features; full access to Pro features requires an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to those platforms' terms.
4.3 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms and refund policies. PatrolOne does not directly process credit card payments.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- You retain full access until the end of your current billing period
- Your device reverts to free mode after the billing period ends
- No data is deleted upon cancellation
- You may resubscribe at any time to restore full access
5. Enterprise Terms
5.1 Organization Enrollment
Enterprise users are enrolled by an organization's IT administrator via invite code or QR code. By enrolling, you consent to your organization receiving aggregate compliance data about your device (as described in our Privacy Policy).
5.2 Unenrollment
Enterprise users may leave their organization at any time via Settings. The organization administrator may also unenroll a device at any time. Upon unenrollment, the device reverts to the paywall state.
5.3 Administrator Responsibilities
Organization administrators are responsible for managing their organization's devices, licenses, and compliance policies in accordance with applicable laws and their organization's own privacy policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the Service to monitor devices without the device owner's knowledge and consent
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Service
- Circumvent or disable any security features of the Service
7. Intellectual Property
PatrolOne, including its name, logo, mascot, software, and documentation, is the intellectual property of 2805869 ALBERTA LTD. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
PatrolOne is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The Service will detect all privacy threats or security vulnerabilities
- The DNS blocklist will block all malicious domains
- Scan results will be 100% accurate in all circumstances
PatrolOne is a privacy awareness and protection tool. It is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity consulting or legal advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 2805869 ALBERTA LTD. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify you via email or in-app notification for significant changes
- Provide at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply where you reside.
